After-School Enrichment Programs

JAXX Theatricals

Calabash is fortunate to work with Jaxx Theatricals as our after-school theatre production company.  This is our 10th year with Jaxx, and we’ll once again have two productions:  one in the fall and another in the winter/spring.  Some basic info about the program:

• Productions for this year are open to all students in grades 1-5.

• Student to teacher ratio is 15:1.

• We have up to two casts per show.

• The final week of rehearsal is called “Tech Week”, when all technical elements of the show are incorporated (costumes, lighting, sound/mics, hair/make-up etc).  During Tech Week, the cast rehearses every day (or every other day in the event of a split cast).  Cast members are expected to cancel all conflicting after-school activities for that week.

• Registration cost is $425, which covers all rehearsals, costumes, make-up, backstage professional assistance, etc.  Your only responsibility is to ensure your child has undergarments (bike shorts and a tank top) and a pair of stage appropriate shoes for Tech Week (Jaxx will specify any color/type requirements).

• Families can purchase a professional recording from the final performance as well as professional photo books and photos taken during dress rehearsal, backstage and the show.

Cheer & Fitness with Coach Danni

Coach Danni has been teaching cheer classes in the valley for over 21 years, with an emphasis on teaching children to build self-confidence and strength, and work together as a team, all while having fun. Sessions will be available in the fall and spring for grades K-5

To register for Cheer & Fitness, fill out the following two forms and email them to calabashptopresident@gmail.com. Payment instructions will follow for the first 25 enrollees; additional registrations received will be placed on a waiting list.
