ONE-TIME EVENTS

Help with planning, ticket sales, promotion, set up, service and clean-up at event.
Food DriveOrganize/promote one-week long food drive just before Thanksgiving holiday; ensuring bins are dropped off & collected by the food bank
Online AuctionSecure items for the auction by soliciting vendors, amusement parks, movie theaters, restaurants, etc. for donations.
Publicize event and pick up and help distribute winning items. Help run Calabash exclusive events (Teacher for the Day, Tea w/ Mrs. Rogan, etc).
Trunk or TreatPromote event and manage roster of families volunteering to participate & decorate cars.
Spring CarnivalPlan food, drinks, activities and game booths for the school event and coordinate ticket sales.
Each classroom is responsible for a game booth.
Square 1 ArtMeet with organizer for specifics on artwork. Teach one art lesson in each classroom.
Commitment for this event is training for 30-60 minutes, plus 1 to 1 ½ hours to complete the artwork in class.
Valentine's/Holiday GramsDistribute & collect order forms, purchase candy, assemble & and distribute grams to the classroom.
Teacher Appreciation LuncheonOrganize luncheon for all teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week in May
Toy DrivePromote Toy Drive event, wrap & bring in collection box and empty at regular intervals, coordinate LAFD visit & toy pickup
WalkathonAt the event, assist by passing out water and giving encouragement so the kids will keep walking. Coordinate music for event. Assist with tracking donations and distributing of prizes.
Boutique SalesGeneral volunteers help students purchase items (deciding what they can afford to buy based on how much $$ they brought) and wrap their items at check-out. Organizer purchases all goods and leads set-up/clean-up of boutique.
Movie NightSetting up the auditorium for the event and working concession stands selling food, drinks & glow items.
Birthday Banner CoordinatorCreate and order birthday banners as requested, then hang at campus entrance during the week of child's birthday

Pennies for PatientsPromote and manage program by distributing flyers/donation envelopes, collecting money & sending to charity
Restaurant NightsContact local restaurants to organize monthly dates, communicate to parents & collect proceeds.
Room ParentAssist and support your child’s teacher. Act as liaison and information source between PTO and the families

Volunteer CoordinatorArrange volunteers for specific events during the school year. Make sure volunteers are informed of duties during event.
